Ency Samkelisiwe Litsoane is a seasoned leader, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for purpose-driven development. With over two decades of diverse experience spanning healthcare, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and international trade, Ency brings a unique ability to bridge sectors and drive impactful transformation.

As Head Regional Lead – Southern Africa for the Atlanta Black Chambers’ Global Opportunities Committee, she plays a pivotal role in strengthening trade and investment ties between Africa and the African diaspora, leveraging her deep networks and proven track record of building high-impact partnearships since first engaging Atlanta in 2018.

Her entrepreneurial footprint includes founding and leading multiple ventures such as Therato Holdings, Ubambano Women and Youth SA Entrepreneurship Forum, Hemwear Africa Group, and Makwande Agri Group, alongside serving as Chairperson of the FlourishHEr Qhakaza Foundation Inc., which champions women’s empowerment through manufacturing and skills development to address period poverty.

Recognised as a dynamic speaker and motivator, Ency has addressed global audiences across Africa, the USA, and attended conferences in Asia, Dubai, Brazil, and beyond, focusing on purpose-driven leadership, women in business, and entrepreneurship. She has served on platforms such as the South African Women Entrepreneurs Network (SAWEN) as Chairperson, hosted delegations in partnership with extraordinary leaders, including Ambassador Andrew J. Young (first met in the USA in 2018), and was a finalist in the Most Influential Women in Business and Government in Africa Awards (2013–2016).

Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that “when you empower the community, you empower the nation.” Whether in the boardroom, on stage, or in grassroots initiatives, Ency continues to inspire and mobilize people to discover their potential and turn purpose into action.
